We had been let down several times in recent months by our most frequented supplier of fresh and processed meat and poultry as well as fresh vegetables in Midrand, and decided to try out United Muslim Meat Supply. We were mostly pleased with the spacious premises, the store layout and signage, as well as the range of food and groceries that they stock. There were no unpleasant odours, despite the fact that they had a relatively good range of fish and other seafood in stock. The assistant allowed me to pick my selection of fresh fish - at a price, of course - compared to buying the whole fish. The fresh fish slices were great after we cooked them - would go for the same again. Even at the meat counter, the assistant helped by cutting the leg of lamb as close to my requirement and as was economically feasible for the store. They also stocked the Up-to-date cultivar of potatoes for making good curries. I was also looking for an alternative supplier of spiced mutton sausage, and I believe I may have found one here in Fordsburg. My bonus find of the day was fresh methi (fenugreek), and wow, they were still growing in trays! It's the first time I have seen this product packaged for sale like this. And it makes very good sense. Oh, and they do stock eggs to go with the methi herbs... Parking is available for customers. Despite mixed reviews, which I hope the store has a staff member attending to, I shall visit United Meat...

Excellent quality meat...and processed meat products👌 Store looks great after the revamp👍Customers/foot traffic will definitely increase, if prices were to be 'sharpened' a bit...increase in sales volumes will compensate for the slight (3-5%) GP reduction...give it a shot, United...you'll definitely score 😉 Well, the 'parking' space challenge still exists...maybe an 'elevated'/rooftop parking area is the answer...depends on the structural engineers, though 😆 The cashiers...well, it appears that some customers encountered them on a 'bad day'...I'm certain that they also feel the strain of a hectic trading environment..I tend to actually drop a 'funny' or a kind word, if I see ANY cashier in a "not so good" mood...it...

I am a quality not quantity kinda person ,who wont compromise on quality and i must say that united is by far the best in Johannesburg, having tried just about every other one here, they not only give u the best cuts and quality but serve with so much passion , they go over and beyond to make sure u leave with the best meat, they advice and help u choose wisely,, all their staff are on the same level, and its such a pleasure to shop there, the only downside is they are so far away from sandton and now in the lockdown i am struggling to adapt to other meat suppliers,, they cant even come close to united, you guys are great, dont loose your standard, and i only wish you had a delivery service during the...
