Wimpy — Restaurant in Gauteng

It is with great sorrow that I must lay a complaint of a very serious incident that occurred at the above mentioned Wimpy on the 25th March 2023 at around 10h30 am.

This incident was a gross violation of women rights/abuse as well as a huge racial act.

From where I sat the following occurred:

1. A middle-aged lady entered the Wimpy and took her seat at a 2 bench table.

2. 2 black men entered the Wimpy and headed to the table where this lady was seated. The younger of the 2 men threw down his laptop bag onto the table and went and sat on the opposite side of the table and spoke with a attitude to confront the lady seated. She tried to inform the man that she is waiting for someone to join her.

3. This man immediately started to verbally abuse this lady until such time she took her handbag and walk out of the Wimpy. He at that stage, told this white lady to voertsek.

4. At no stage did any waiter or management try to intervene in the situation.

5. lastly these 2 men took over the table and were served by a waiter.

Due to this I cannot think that I will support...

I ordered the cheese griller breakfast with a extra portion of hasbrowns.

When the food arrived the toast was burnt and stale .

I only received 15 cubes of hasbrown not what I paid for ( 26 as per the managers own admission )

To add insult to injury the manager expected me tro drive to them to rectify the problem.

I asked her for the owners details and she said she is not allowed to give it to me.

I then just asked for the owners name and she refused.

So Mr Owner I hope you read this.

Thank goodness uber refunded me.

It was an awful experience

I do have fotos of the food available

Worst of all it is a place my mom and I have been going for years.

Sadly I wont be dining or ordering from.you again.

Is there no manager or person checking the food before it leaves the resturuant?

Wimpy is a well know brand with industry standards.

Today 24th February 2017; We visited this Wimpy and after being seated we had to ask the supervisor after 10 minutes for service. She walked passed our table a few times without even looking at us. We waited 25 minutes for our food. Other tables were also complaining and had to ask for service. The supervisor was shouting loudly to the staff. (this happens often for we visit this Wimpy regularly as this is the nearest to our home) When I spoke to her about the poor service and the shouting: she only said sorry. This Wimpy's service is really not...
