Yiayia's Kitchen Greenstone — Restaurant in Gauteng

My wife and I have been coming to yiayias for years and really have enjoyed it. On Wednesday 26 April 2023 we decided to go out for dinner. We both chose to go to yiayias on arrival we found out that our usual happy to see us friendly manager Hellen was not on duty we were going to be served by another manager. We walked in and greeted the manager who was so rude towards us and basically looked down on us like we were dirt. This is not the way we have been treated in the past. My wife and I decided we not going to stay at yiayia and would rather go to the fish shop next to checkers. Really poor service from the tall white lady behind the counter. If Hellen is not working we won't be back. Yiayias is just not the same without her...

Food was OK but service was not good. Our waiter was not unfriendly but he was not friendly either. Also when he brought our food he had given everyone's food except for mine and one other at the table. He wanted to give me a beef Souvlaki and I said mine is Chicken. He then left with the beef, which was for my colleague, without a word, and was gone for 5 minutes. Then he brought my and my colleague's food. Again no apology for the delay. It was not unacceptably bad service, and I would definitely recommend Yiayia's, but how our waiter behaved was strange and we all agreed afterwards it is a nice restaurant but the service we got was bad. Likely a once-off thing but still. I can not remember his name...

Ordered takeaway saturday at 17 30. Only 2 tables busy. Order took over 25 minutes. Why? Was the cow still alive? Food arrived . We ordered 4 things. Only 3 came. And one was also missing the sauce. So 2 mistakes out of 4 items. Well one of us had no supper that night. Shocking service. Then when phoned to complain the next day Lady did not know about mistake... How? what happened to the missing item? suspecious... Then she said pop in ill replace missing item. I said cant u deliver? They have no driver... So not only they f up now i must waste my time and petrol to go back. No.
