FIVE stars for the great people that work at Hobnobs and the vibe!
Sometimes people restore your faith in people and here is a little story about one of the owners of Hobnobs, Jonathan, the lengths that him and his staff took for a stranger when informed of an injustice and how my phone had been stolen and is now back in my possession.
On Thursday night a friend and I went to Hobnobs for dinner and a few drinks for a fun night out, we were sitting outside, the staff were amazing and we were having a great time. Unfortunately two drunk men kept on forcing themselves on our table and it did not end well at all. We argued with them and they were very pushy, rude and disrespectful towards women. This is the first time I had a bad experience there however it was definitely not at the fault of Hobnobs. Restaurants and bars cannot always refuse certain people as these two men certainly did not seem the type to steal at a glance or be as rude as they were.
Once the two drunken men had left I realized my phone had been taken. Either my friend or myself were at the table all night and we knew the only persons near us were these two drunk men.
The next day I called Hobnobs and spoke to a kind lady who I told the story to. She got as much information from me and had said she would escalate it and they would watch the camera recording of the night.
Later that day I received a call from Jonathan who had watched the footage but could not to see the phone physically being taken. The man who stole it definitely did it very sneakily as neither my friend or I saw it.
He retrieved information about the two men by asking around and ended up going to the work place of the one to get to the bottom of it. I received a message from him that afternoon to inform me that he found my cellphone and it had been stolen by one of these men. He had then took it further to inform his work place superiors and all those involved took measures to ensure justice had been served.
Jonathan still offered to bring my phone to me. I now have my phone with me and I could not be more grateful. It took 24 hours to get my phone back.
The selflessness and kindness of all of them to have done their best to get my phone back has been moving. I honestly know for sure that amongst the evil in this world we certainly do have some good-hearted honorable people in this world.
You can be rest assured that the customer service and care the staff put into those who visit this establishment will be nothing short of incredible.
Thank you so much Jonathan and the staff of Hobnobs for everything that you did for me. I will always be so grateful for your kindness and efforts for one of your customers. I hope you...
Read moreClaims to be dog friendly, but refused to serve me because I had my pitbull with me.
The owner responded to my negative review by sarcastically correcting my spelling in response to me using pittie (an acceptable colloquial shortening of the word pitbull) instead of the whole word, so I've come here to edit and make it more detailed.
I walked in with my incredibly friendly and well socialised dog and asked if I could sit outside. I was met with stares and silence from the three people currently in the establishment, but went to sit down at the far side of the outside area, hoping that someone would do the rounds at the outside tables.
After about 10 minutes, someone came to inform me that I would not be served because I had a pitbull. A fervent explanation that multiple members of the staff had bad experiences with them followed as an attempt to excuse the discrimination. All the while, my boy sat quietly at my feet, not bothering anyone amd chewing on his snack, which I'd brought to keep him busy. I enquired if there was anyone who had not had a bad experience that would be able to serve me, seeing as though the establishment is dog friendly and I'd complied with all the requests on the sign outside that informed me of this, the staff member simply repeated the story and pointed ro a scar on his arm. I apologised for his bad...

Normally this place is perfect and all for meeting friends and sports.
I was with 10 friends yesterday and we had a waiter that that’s nice enough. He said the chicken strips took 15 minutes. I told him to put the order in at 7:30 so I could factor in time to get home. It takes 15 min to get home.
I arrived home at 8:35pm approx. Opened the food that obviously was delayed. The food, possibly (but reasonably assumed to be) purchased from a discount food store was dry and basically inedible.
I was late to meet my partner with food at home, Only reason for delay is the ‘chef’ or waiter who failed (dispute numerous requests to get our food) to deliver the food in a reasonable and timely fashion.
The waiter said chicken strips, but in actual fact we recieved dry chicken flavour dog pellets. I can confirm my dog enjoyed them and so far, and pleased to announce, I have not had to take him to the vet.
It is assumed the waiter either left food on the pass purposefully so as to allow discount whole food dog pellets to dry out in order to have the bill be pumped up with perceived extra drinks in...
