John Dory's Wilson's Wharf — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

The service was poor. The waiter failed to introduce himself, we waited 8 minutes before ordering our drinks. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. we ordered 2 beer and the still water, the beers came without glasses to drink in. the still water was brought later. we ordered grilled calamari, which came with some Prawn's fibers on it. which tells me that shellfish are cooked the same place with the calamari(this isn't the brand standard,) if i was allergic to shellfish, it would have been... During our 67 minutes stay, no Managers came to check if we were doing okay. we had to ask the hostess for our bill, when she brought it, she asked us to check if it was the right bill. She wasn't sure.

i am very disappointed with the service quality, i hope this isn't the service all your customers get. i hope you guys improve it. i personally would never return to that...

Went in last week.Staff was as perfect as you'd need. Atmosphere was great. We ordered the seafood platters for our table. As we usually do at other John Dorys but the issue with this ones fried studf. Was too much of batter on the hakes as if to compensate for a smaller fish. And as my family and I always get this platter, we are familiar with it. And the fried contents just like appeared to be soaked or soaking in oil it was just the most oily I've ever had at John Dorys. I know it sounds silly as it is fried fish. But this was just too much. But everything else was perfect. Loved their grilled hake though, had to get a grilled one separately because the oil was just too much and...

Terrible experience from that place yesterday(06/06/2018 around 12h00), waitress was trying to steal from me...including tip I put down R230 and she swiped R250. I realised when I got back at the office n I was furious....to cut long story short, when I came back she blushed as she saw me coming in. Proof that it wasn't a mistake- 1st attempt of swiping card the machine was offline she had to go back and get another machine...and she proceeded overcharging. When I told story at the office, someone else said it happened to her at the same restaurant, but they didn't do anything about it. Please watch out when you pay by card in that place. However, Store Owner handled...
