Po'Boys Umhlanga — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

We drove a great distance to try this spot out because my cousin wanted to try it. After hearing it was great american food , we said yes let's try it. To our disappointment, the food is nothing special. We asked if there was anything else we could replace the steak with in the sharing box and the lady said no. After ordering just the chicken share box from the menu, we start looking around and see on the wall there is a share box v2 which had lamb and chicken. Sad service tbh. When the food came (which was a very long wait) everything was cold. The chips, lamb pastry and seasme chicken was about the best. The Kentucky fried chicken was fried dead, dry and hard. The biggest disappointment was the big crispy ball which we all assumed had cheese in it. One bite into a cold mash potato was basically what it was. We expected way more for the price that we paid. There is also only 2 tables at this joint, its hot and humid because the kitchen isn't fully separated from the dining area....

Terrible. Poor service from unfriendly staff. When I walked in, there was not a staff in sight at the front serving counter. Had to call twice for assistance. The pizza I ordered for my kids who are not older than 9 years old, was not satisfying and filling at all. The base was paper thin with little to no filling. The California sandwich, drowning in mayo and the chicken strips were totally tasteless. There is no value for money at this joint. This place lacks ambience and a vibe. It showed by the lack of staff presence when I entered. The laminated menu is a joke. Looks dirty. It needs upgrading. They do not have takeaway menus which a customer can take home. The meals are expensive and not worth the price you are paying! After all the hype on social media about this place, all I can say is.... WHAT A...

I've been craving Po Boys for a while now so we finally decided to stop by and order the Super Snack box.

The store itself is a bit small so we decided to take away instead of sitting in. The lady that served us was very nice and friendly.

Once we placed our order they began preparing it so the waiting time wasn't bad although my impatient kids would disagree 😂

When we opened the box everything looked really nice except the one Po Boy Sandwich which was toasted a bit too much, almost burnt but everything else was really good.

It was so delicious and everything was still fresh and crispy. The deep dried kebabs were soooo good and one of my favs.
