My name is Mishaan and Im visiting from Australia. - To the Owner and the Waiter we had (didnt get his name). Amazing Food, Atmosphere and Service. Since coming here on the 5th Of March, I have had bad service, however Our waiter was exceptional, knowledgable, considerate and friendly.
He is a great asset to your restaurant and hope I return he is working before I leave on the 22nd.
I wish him well with all his goals and dreams, and wish you ALL the greatest success.
The Meal deal with drinks was awesome, affordable, well presented and the Nachos was great!
NOTE: Staff or management should have the right to tell Kids running around to stop as its an occupational safety hazard. If I wasn’t with family, I would have told the parents to control their child.
NOTE: To Owner in charge of recruitment. WELL DONE! The multiculturalism in your floor staff is amazing, as all I have seen is African staff. However, whoever is the African Guy in black suit and black shirt standing at front and doing routine walks - that made us awkward. Not hard to say Hello, or smile, ask us how we are going, say thank you - or was he a bouncer? Either way, he had a serious lack of personality.
Thanks again

Read moreOn my trip visiting from Johannesburg, I thought I would pop into Waxy's and have a craft beer which was delicious, however the service and friendliness of staff leaves much to be desired. As I was greeted by immature giggling waitresses that did not show me to a table and treated me like a pariah. Although I waited at the entrance, I was ignored and not shown to a table. I then had to order the drinks from the bar and wait for my companion there, because I was not permitted to take the drinks to the table!! While sitting down, we waited to be served and were purposely ignored by the waitress, although we spoke to the manager there was no real action taken, and one of the waitresses was actually smirking, and we left without ordering another drink as we felt very unwelcome. We had planned to enjoy a meal, and some relaxing time out and sadly, had to leave. (and yes we paid, and left a tip for the barman, only because the beer was lovely) I'm disappointed because Irish hospitality is supposed to be welcoming. Would not...
Read moreHad such a good evening with my girlfriend on a Tuesday night. Not sure how full it gets on the weekend but there was ok service... we're colored so we felt the help was more inclined to white ppl but never the less we got what we wanted. They have a nice range of options and discounts on draughts when ordering appetizers. Cozy booths with nice privacy and the ambience is comfortable. A little trip to the bathroom, you have to venture downstairs. Overall a wonderful place, like most places the workers could use a bit more positivity but how much dedication can you put into a dead end job anyways. As much as you would expect from an SA pub posing as Irish. I suspect the crowd consists mostly of regulars because the location isn't so central. If you're white you'll have a ball they will treat you right, another story for colored folks despite our 100 rand tip. Don't expect too much but also keep an open mind you're there for the ppl you came with focus on them, I guarantee you will have an...
