Mugg & Bean — Restaurant in Somerset West

Second time I visit this restaurant in 2 weeks. Last week service was slow. Restaurant was fairly busy but the waiter didn't bother to come over and say, I will be with you in a second.

This week, the place is empty but the staff are terribly noisy. Joking around and not taking into consideration that people come there to work, I did and for a quiet meal. Really annoying and frustrating..... Even the guy delivering the gas felt the need to relay some story about someone who got killed on the weekend. He was at the kitchen entrance but the patrons could hear the entire story. Seriously people?

I asked for the bill and the waitress decides she needs to first finish her conversation with the barrister.

Irrespective of the time of day.... people want quietness when they eat.

Can they just respect that. If wanted to eat a shebeen I would...

I used to love this place. My last two orders was a total disaster. I have one specific order which are the breakfast bun and cuppacino coffee. The first bad order was when my uber driver brought me a cup, coffee spilled all over the cup. No sticker on the opening of the cup. The bun was stale and just horrible. Today of all days I decided let's give them another go, although this time the uber driver delivered the wrong order to me. I called obviously very upset and hungry. I spoke to Shaun who suggested that I should get someone to collect my food. I mean really why do we use Uber then. I planned my tea and lunch time. I was really so angry. I was refunded by Uber, but I was still left hungry and without food. Please tell me where is the convenience in all of this. No customer service from...

Busy, hot and a tad uncomfortable if you're overdressed, however, the menu is superb, the food is superb, absolutely great value for money in terms of quality, quantity, taste ,generosity , balance and variety. I reccomend the morrocan roast chickpea and butternut salad with chicken added. I usually get the light portion but I don't mind a full portion either because that means I get to enjoy it again for a later meal so that definitely saves me time too. I must say, the coffee has improved so well done to the baristas and I was impressed with the service this time so well done to the management and staff.
