Let me teach you how to truly appreciate a coffee:
You order an Americano with hot milk, sip the first ¼ to ⅓ black unadulterated, then top-up the cup with your hot milk and again drink about a ⅓ to ½, now add just a dash of sugar (a full sachet is excessive) and finish the remainder of your cup of coffee. The black Americano allows you to experience the true taste of the coffee, being diluted it doesn't have the intensity of a straight espresso which overpowers the more subtle characteristics of the coffee. Adding the hot milk allows you to appreciate the progression and transformation of your coffee and experience how the milk complements the flavor of your coffee. You specifically have hot milk because the steaming process hydrolyzes the lactose disacharide into its two constituent monosacharides (glucose and galactose) which enhances the taste! You add just a dash of brown sugar (obviously not white) so that the slight molasses content can contribute to bringing out the nutty caramel flavour of your bean.
You can then follow up with a Flat White for comparison.
This approach will pay dividends if followed at The Treatery. You will be treated to a blissful experience even when the drizzle is falling on you from beneath the ill-designed veranda roof.
Finally you write a review, where you make it sound like you know what you're...

After waiting at our table for about 10 minutes for someone to take our order, I went to my car to get a jacket, letting a waitress know that we were ready to order along the way.
When I got back to my husband, he said no one had yet come to take our order. We waited another 5 minutes. Nothing. We went back in and quite obviously placed the menus back at their spot. None of the waiters made an effort to check on us. This experience was so disappointing, especially because the restaurant was not packed or immensely busy. We were so looking forward to trying the food, and now will not get to do so.
We then went down the street to The Hall, which had much better service, smiling and cheerful waitrons, and absolutely...
