Steers — Restaurant in Vincent, East London

Yesterday I Ordered a 1/4 Leg and chips , and when I got home to eat I was so disappointed to find an ash filled piece of chicken . I couldn’t eat it and Today I went to go complain about it , the Manager whose name is Tawna down played the whole thing and just said “we will make you another one” he didn’t take accountability that his Team was wrong for being comfortable to serving such to a paying customer . He said it was a “mistake” and I corrected him that it wasn’t a mistake as a person can see that the chicken is burnt / fell in ash or whatever the case maybe be but choose to deliberately serve it even after seeing the condition of it , he went on and on and the matter escalated because he refused to take accountability or hold his team accountable , and it ended up with him being frustrated and demanding his cashier to take out the refund money from the till and giving it to me of which he said something in his language to show how annoyed he was with us and the situation . At that moment I didn’t feel like a valued customer and more over this wasn’t even the first time that I had a complaint , what got to me was the fact that they are forever comfortable with just “We will make you another one” and not take accountability and apologise for the bad service and do better . This sucks because I like meals from steers but the service I got today was the nail to the coffin of all bad food I have...

I just ordered burgers from Vincent Steers in Mr App the other one was a meal with chips and the other one was with chips and buddy . I am currently in Cape Town but I order for my father over the phone today . The service I recieve from the store was amazing. We had some payment issues. I spoke to the Manager Mandy who was very helpful and went an extra mile to assist me. The level of professionalism she gave it was beyond expectation. My father got his food on time.
