Mugg & Bean — Restaurant in Western Cape

I had a mixed experience here, the coffee I ordered was great, flavourfull and delivered efficiently. The whole place is beautifull on the inside, very clean and has great views. Our waitress was very friendly, professional and helpfull, although I didn't catch her name.

The manager came up, introduced himself, and asked if we were having a good experience and asked if we might leave a review. I appreciated this at first, as it shows they prioritise good customer service. The only thing I didn't appreciate, is when he asked us to take our phones in front of him and leave the review while he was standing there. He rudely interupted a converation I had, by telling me to do it now, after I told him I will leave a review when I was done. Not only did he wait, he also quite arrogantly selected 5 stars all by himself while the phone was still in my hand. Personally, this isn't very professional. I understand positive customer reviews are very important for the success of any restaurant, but honestly, if feel that HONEST customer reviews even more so. This makes someone doubt if the high rating is truly all happy customers, or just merely the majority doing what was told to them while they were sitting in house.
