Italy Sangjeom — Restaurant in Busan

If you are in Busan and craving authentic Italian cuisine, look no further than this hidden gem! My family and today dined there and were absolutely blown away by the quality and flavor of the dishes. We ordered: 1) Alla Norma: This roasted eggplant dish was a masterpiece. The balance of flavors was spot on. Just imagine the taste of rich tomato sauce, the homemade ricotta cheese and the tender eggplant. It was comfort food at its best! 2) Alla Carbonara: This was a classic pasta dish done right! The creamy sauce was rich without being overwhelming. Every bite was a reminder of what true Italian cuisine should taste like. 3) Margherita Pizza: The Neapleon style crust was thin and perfectly charred, while the fresh basil and mozzarella created a harmonious blend of flavors. It was light yet satisfying, making it hard to resist finishing the entire pizza. Lastly, 4) Melanzane Pizza: Another eggplant dish that was simply divine. The layers of flavor of tomato sauce, grilled ey, cherry tomatoes, basil and cheese were just incredible.

Nevertheless, the service was impressively fast, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Their warm hospitality added to the overall dining experience.

Every dish we tried was beyond perfection. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the level of culinary excellence. Rather disappointed with the pizzas. Every part of the dough was either burnt or had burnt blisters. If the chef had better control over the heat, this is unlikely to happen especially when our table was the only ordering pizzas. The quality of the tomato paste abd mozzarella cheese was just average quality which makes the magherita pizza and the pancetta is just acceptable especially when I had to deal with the burnt dough.

The restaurant features an intimate setting with few tables. Feels like one of those that dating couples would like but for my family, it felt too crowded as the tables were literally outside the kitchen and the customers sitting at the bar table facing the kitchen had their backs touching ours and we move a little more, we would be outside the restaurant.

I wouldn't recommend for the pizzas but maybe the pastas are good like what some other...

Great little Italian pizza and pasta restaurant with only 3 tables in Busan. I love Italian foods and have been in Italy for quite a few times, so I kinda know what's good and what's not. This plais not Rome ot Bologna, but it's close. We ordered 4 pizzas, the first two weren't as crispy, so we asked the chef to make the next two crispier and they were much to our likings. If you like them crispier, then make sure to tell the waitstaff when ordering. The pasta were pretty good, especially the carbonara and the garlic ones. We went there at 5:45 and got 2 tables right away, by 6:30, there was a line of people outside, come early if you don't want to wait.
