Mimiwon — Restaurant in Gwangju

Famous restaurant in Gwangju. They are specialized in Jeon (korean pancake). Minimum order is 2 sets. Most popular dish is Hanwoo jeon ( Korean Beef pancake). I tried seafood and scallop jeon which are nice. They also provide varieties of side dish

However, it's a bit overrated because many tv program and celebrities visit here a lots. During meal time, it is very difficult to find parking nearby. ...

I had wanted to try Yuk-Jun for a long long time. It melted in my mouth. So nice. All side dishes and freshly cooked rice (now days it's unusual to have white rice, though). Service was superb. A lady was standing next to our table a d cooked Yuk-Jun on the spot so it can be very hot. Be careful. Must take what came out first not latest one...

It's different style of enjoying beef (Yook-Jun 육전) which I myself actually never tried before this place and I visited (sometime ago) because I wanted to know what it is about. I guess one way to describe YookJun is that it sits somewhere between Korean seafood pancake and grilled beef. To me, it wasn't really amazing, just alright, presumably because my expectation was too high on it.

좀 예전에 먹으러 갔던거라 한참 늦은 리뷰이기는 한데.. 육전을 먹어본적이 없었고 광주의 육전이 유명하다고 해서 먹으러 가봤었습니다. 근데 아무래도 먹어본적이 없는 음식에 대한 기대나 환상 같은게 너무 컸던 탓인지 그냥저냥 그랬어요. 가격을 생각했을때 굳이 또 먹으러 올 일은 없지 않을까 싶네요. 가장 마음에 들었던...
