Daewha Mandu — Restaurant in Gyeongju-si

We met a wonderful lady called Jackie, a fellow traveler who told us about this wonderful eatery.

The Tteokbokki is simply to die for. So delicious infact that I ordered it twice. In one night.

The menu isn't extensive but the simplicity of the place, coupled with the generous hospitality of the ladies behind the counter, far far outweighed any hesitations one may have.

Would HIGHLY recommend this place. Really good wholesome food, and very friendly on the wallet.

Came here after reading reviews and it was AMAZING.

There was a queue outside and a tablet to register your request for a table. Be warned, it asks for a Korean phone number to text you when your table is ready so I just put in any number and told the staff so they could physically come out and call me whilst I waited.

Great spot for dumplings! They'll be presented in the prettiest way along with a side of kimchi and two sauces. There's a few noodle options and one us vegetarian as of October 2024. Prices are a steal at under 10,000 a plate. The dumplings won't fill you if you're hungry guy, but you'll be satisfied until a larger meal. That said, they're somewhat sizeable and come with four pork and three shrimp. I'd return any time. Staff speaks some English and accepts...
