비거뉴어리 (VEGANUARY) — Restaurant in Incheon

This is a small vegan cafe in a calm neighborhood in Incheon. They currently only serve beverages on a daily basis. If you want to eat here, you have to order desserts in advance. They respond quickly and kindly to messages on Instagram. Reportedly, they have started to implement this system of pre-ordering to prevent food waste.

Behind the creative names are pastries with an unconventional appearance: They are all black! This is because cocoa and black rice flour are used to color them.

Since the main ingredient is rice flour (although the bakery products are not fully gluten-free!), the texture is a bit sticky and more chewy than regular croissants or pastries. The coffee tastes good, too.

Prices are much lower than in Seoul.
