Geuyetmat — Restaurant in Jeju

We’re from Singapore and it is our first time visiting Jeju-do. We did some research before coming and found out about this restaurant, Geuyetmat. We enjoyed the food here so much, that we decided to visit this restaurant not just once but twice! They specialise in various dishes but we highly recommend the abalone stone pot rice. The flavour was absolutely amazing, it had a perfect balance of sweet, spicy and salty. The staff were also very kind and they taught us how to enjoy the meals the way the locals do! Definitely a meal we look forward to having again when we visit Jeju...

The staff is really friendly but they are in a hurry so you decide what you want before you walk in. There's a really limited menu so it shouldn't be difficult to decide ahead. The abalone rice in a stone bowl was great (no pic bc the waitress immediately got to business stirring it for us). The abalone guk was good too, but if I had to choose one I'd go for the abalone rice.

Don't forget to mix water into the emptying stone bowl at the end for the tasty crispy bits.
