So a little back story and you will see why I am providing this info. I am a fluent korean and english speaker who came to visit her mother who resides in Dodu-dong. I came from NYC; attended NYU for college and worked inside the World Trade Center which requires me to breathe and live Starbucks as a fuel to stay alive in that city. People back at home understand Starbucks is chicken feed for the regular New Yorker.
Anyway, the menu in Korea is so different so I took a while ordering. I needed a little help because apparently, the hot teas don't come in grande here. They have intersting flavored lattes and frappes you will never see in America. The barista lady behind the cashier turns around and mumbles to herself in korean "what an amateur" after taking my order. Well, what an idiot. So I pulled out my Starbucks app in English and asked her if I can pay with this in Korea. Hopefully her buffoon head got the message.
