Malaedang — Restaurant in Jeonju-si

This is a must-visit place! The cream coffee drink I had (which is their specialty) was so delicious and they also have one non-coffee option for those prefer that. The cream drink comes with three chapssaltteok on a stick (often known as mochi🍡) which you're supposed to dip in the thick (about 2-inch layer of) cream on top of your drink. The chapssaltteok is sweet with just a tiny bit of notable salt to add the perfect contrast to the sweet cream you dip it in. It's a masterpiece and I was very tempted to visit this place again before leaving. Try to go before or after the main meal times as this place fills up. I happened to arrive a couple of hours after lunchtime which allowed us to receive drinks a cream matcha cheesecake which was super delicious also and enjoy it slowly before another rush hour arrived. Malaedang is such a cute, cozy cafe. The decorations made me feel as though I were in someone's living room. They sell drinks and desserts. I got two of the signature drinks because you must order one item per person if you dine in, as is the case with many places in South Korea. I am not sure what one of the drinks was, but the other one was sesame. The second drink reminded me of the milk that is leftover after you eat all of your cereal. Each drink had a half layer of cream and came with dango. The cream was very smooth and had a subtle sweetness that paired nicely with the dango, which was chewy and warm.
