A local Mokpo bakery with a long history and famous for their Prawn Bread.
The shop seemed like the busiest one in the local area outside the Mokpo train station.
They make their bread fresh inside the shop and the smell is superb once you walk in. There is a large selection of breads, cookies and other delights (like giant churros) and you can buy takeaway or enjoy in the spacious cafe area where coffee and other drinks are available to order.
We had the pound cake and a fried red bean mochi to try on premise and took away the prawn bread. All were tasty in their own way and we understood why the business has been around for so long.
Compared to some over-hyped bakeries (yes I'm looking at you Artist Bakery), this is a much more traditional and yet much better option for those who enjoy baked...
