I can understand the hype. Went around 1pm on a weekday lunch and there was still a queue, but it was worth the wait. You had to key in your Korean number to get into the queue but the owner was super friendly and keyed in his number to give me a queue number and told me to come back in 60min, so don’t worry even if you don’t have a Korean number.
They only have 3 items on the menu, so you know they really hone in on their craft. They serve delicious bomal kalguksu (sea snail noodles), sea snail porridge and dumplings. The fact that there are only 3 items on the menu - noodles, porridge and boiled dumplings - speaks volumes about the quality of food. The kalguksu broth had such a deep flavour and was packed with umami, which went perfectly with the hand made noodles. The porridge tasted a bit lighter than the kalguksu, but was nonetheless delicious in its own way. The dumplings were simple but so addictive that we got another serving. There’s a reason why this restaurant is a local favourite.

Ticketing We went at around 12:00 to get a ticket, and was told the queuing time is around 1 hour, so we went to the Jungmun Daepo Columnar Joints 중문대포 주상절리 first. Our ticket number has passed already after coming back at 13:00, but the staff still let us in. User-friendly ticketing system.
