You Us Hotel — Hotel in Seogwipo-si

You Us has so few reviews on TripAdvisor I almost didn’t book it, but I’m glad I did. The hotel is very clean, quiet, comfortable and well located. The AC, wifi, shower and mini ‘frig worked well, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was fine with good coffee. The hotel is just a 5 min walk from the main bus line, beautiful Cheonjeyeon Falls is a short walk away, and a nearby scenic walkway takes only about a ½ hr down to Woljeongri Beach. |There were a few small problems but none bad enough to keep us from recommending the hotel. A couple of our towels had large holes, but they were still very clean. We have feather allergies but unfortunately there are no alternative pillows. During Aug heat we wish the hotel would be more eco and have a sheet option instead of only a heavy duvet. We also wish they would use large dispensers instead of more individual plastic waste. The ocean view we paid for was mostly of the next door hotel, but the restaurant view was lovely. The hotel advertises a 30% discount for massages at a nearby spa, but the spa said no, and would only give 10% off. Very disappointed. We showed up to this hotel and checked in. After checking in, and going to our room, we decided we did not want to stay here. There is a very strong smell and the bathroom was dirty. Originally, the front desk said she could help us get a refund. Later to tell us that her boss was not letting her request a refund for us… She instead was required to show us three different rooms in hopes that we would stay. All of the rooms smelling. And all of the rooms with hair and water stains in the bathroom. She was very sweet, and I understand she was following her bosses orders. I am not the slightest bit upset with her. If you want to visit a place where you are not welcomed, you've just found a perfect place. Common services of a time concerning such as checking in and out are terrible. Every services are just a word from the mouth but no action. Everytime they are saying sorry but nothing else. I couldn't found or felt any of human temperament there. Automated services are better these days. I wonder why they are not changing to an AI based services. Oh, it might be an AI based system already There is the awkward inteface...
