Experience @ Seogwipean Bakery. . Located at the South East corner of Jeju island in South Korea, Seogwipean Bakery (서귀피안 베이커리) is a picturesque and comfortable bakery and lounge, offering ridiculously pretty ocean views of the East China Sea and Sea Of Japan. . Located in a relatively quiet area of town, Seogwipean Bakery is a fantastic place for chiling with drinks and light bites, and just looking out into the distance where blue skies with fluffy white clouds meet the turquoise ocean. . Ambience is picture-perfect. The air-conditioned, 4-story building houses a large bakery with open displays. Warm lights and pastel colours adorn the lounges, with comfortable wooden furnishings and modern decor that make the place suitable for lingering meals. . Service is largely self-service, with ordering, payment, and collection over the counter. Diners are also supposed to clean up their tables before leaving. That said, staff do help with another round of cleaning, and the counter staff display good product knowledge. . Food is Korean cuisine, focused on breads, pastries, confectionerys, and beverages, incorporating French, Japanese, and Korean techniques and ingredients. The result is incredibly pretty bakes that are also decently tasty, made with fresh local ingredients. However, they don't offer regular sit-down meals here, unlike a typical cafe. . Portions are large, sized for individuals, but are best shared. Prices are surprisingly reasonable, budget about KRW ₩25,000 / SGD...
Read moreI visited here with my wife and toddler son and had an outstanding experience. It is right on the water and has amazing views and picture taking opportunities Along with the food and coffee, you should visit if you're in the area. We had an almond croissant, a peanut butter cream croissant, mushroom cream soup, and a cafe latte. The almond croissant was crispy, flaky, with a touch of almond cream, while the peanut butter cream croissant was moist, flaky, and loaded with smooth, velvety peanut butter cream. The soup had a strong mushroom taste and a nice kick from black pepper. The latte was strong, smooth, and had a rich milk foam on top. Croissants are reasonably priced about 5000 won, while coffee drinks will run about 7000-8000 won.
Pastries and bread are released fresh throughout the day, so not all options were available when we visited around 9 a.m. Check out the second floor for awesome views and child seats if you need them. Bathrooms are on both floors and were spotless. Service was a little slow because they were crowded (even on a Tuesday morning), but this is a spot best enjoyed in a relaxing manner. Come, stay, savor the food...
Read moreThis bakery was superb and has a wonderful view of the coastline. We stopped here on a Friday afternoon around lunch time and it wasn’t super busy. We were able to get a seat by the window with a gorgeous view of the coastline. There is plenty of seating and the bakery is very spacious and accommodating for larger parties as well. The bakery has a relaxed vibe and smells of delicious fresh baked bread. We ordered the sausage roll, onion bread, jalapeño ciabatta roll and a cold brew Einspanner. All three were very tasty but I liked the jalapeño roll the best. One thing is that I wish that they would warm the bread up, but it was still yummy. I wanted to try more of the different baked goods, but there were so many options. It is cool how they list the baking schedule too so you can plan your visit to get your favorite baked good fresh out of the oven. The cold brew in the Einspanner was smooth and the cream obviously made it sweet as well. Next time I would like to try the cold brew by itself. I recommend stopping by this place if you are in the area! It will be...
