It was another beautiful day, so I headed up to 강북. With the new president in office, 청와대 might soon be closed to the public again, so 삼청동 was packed with tourists hoping to visit before any restrictions return.
I initially planned to eat at 삼청동 수제비, but the line was incredibly long. Instead, I walked about 200 meters over to 북촌 막국수, which turned out to be a great choice—especially in this heat, since a steaming bowl of 수제비 might’ve been too much anyway.
The noodles, made from 100% buckwheat, were surprisingly chewy and flavorful. This spot recently relocated from the original 북촌 location, and it’s already become popular—there were walls full of celebrity autographs.
