Bukchon is by far my favorite place in Seoul. It's not only beautiful and rich in culture but also modern and well developed (combining the best of ancient and modern korea). It is also quieter and more peaceful than areas like gangnam or hongdae, making it a nice break space away from the hectic city life. If you are going to visit anywhere in Seoul during your time here, you must visit Bukchon. You will no...

I was pleasantly surprised at the walk around. You can easily spend a few hours walking through the old village and the surrounding restaurants and cafes in the area. If you like the past historic buildings and living architecture then it's worth the effort. There is a lot of up hill walking so prepare yourself. Take plenty of water and snacks because the food is overpriced in the stores around...

Overall it worth the money. 6000 won for the entrance including a drink. the house itself and its garden gives an example of traditional Korean housing and art. Also there is nice view looking of the Bukchon Hanok Village to the Gyeongbokgung Palace. If you plan to give a break visiting Hanok Village, this is a...

As a foreigner that can understand Korean, felt very uncomfortable that staff were talking about us and in fact not nice things and making assumptions that we don't speak Korean. This is main reason I give this place 1 star. Drinks were nice, visual of the place is nice but mood was ruined. Entrance is 6000 won + free tea.
