DOOKUPSAM(DKS) Gangnam — Restaurant in Seoul

I don’t usually post bad reviews, but this time we were robbed by the restaurant, as they made us pay for meat that was never served to us.

We had ordered two different types of meat: one with two portions and one with one portion.

When we noticed the second meat hadn’t arrived, we called a waiter over. He told us that our entire order had already been served. Not understanding why he said that, we asked again, this time with a message translated into Korean. He once again confirmed that we had received everything.

This situation was very embarrassing, as it made us feel like we were being seen as foreigners who didn’t understand anything. Instead of trying to understand why we were complaining, they made it clear that there was no possible reason for us to complain and that everything was fine.

It completely ruined our appetite and we decided to leave.

At the cash register, I noticed that the meat we never received was still included in the bill.

I tried one last time to explain to the person at the counter that we had only received one of the two meats. He ignored me as well. I then showed him a photo of the single meat we had received and asked him to confirm that both meats were visible in the picture. Without hesitation, he said “yes.” At that point, I understood that talking was useless, that we were automatically considered wrong, and to avoid trouble, we ended up paying the full amount (65,000W) instead of the 40,000W corresponding to the two portions of the only meat we were...

While exploring Seoul for the first time, a friendly staff member at Flow Spa recommended this cozy restaurant nearby. It was a short, pleasant walk, and we were immediately greeted with warm smiles upon arrival. We decided to try the couple’s set, which included a generous portion of succulent pork, perfectly marinated and grilled to tender perfection. Alongside it, they served thinly sliced potatoes, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which paired wonderfully with the meal.

The assortment of side dishes was impressive, each one unique and bursting with flavour, from pickled vegetables to savoury sauces. We initially thought we might need to order a bit extra, but the portion sizes were spot on, leaving us fully satisfied without being overly stuffed. The staff was incredibly attentive, even helping us cook at the table, making the entire experience both delicious and interactive. For the quality and quantity, the price was very reasonable, making this a must-visit spot for anyone looking for an authentic and hearty Korean...

this place is higly recommanded for the business meeting or casual meeting up. beacuse they have enough table for gathering but also expert chef gonna cook and grill the meat for you guys. Additionaly, there are no worries for smelling like bbq bc it has the grill that sucks the smoke right away under the pan. please try this place at least for once. At the same time, ofc the quality of meat is amazing. well-aged but juicy...
