Ggupdang Seongsu — Restaurant in Seoul

Had to join the wait list on Catchable and the wait took almost 2 hours, but it was worth it. Service and food once we were seated were super quick and the staff were so friendly - not in a robotic customer service core sense, but they just genuinely were cheery people giving warm service even to foreigners (probably the friendliest people I've encountered on my Seoul trip so far).

Place was clean, but floors greasy enough to know that the food will still hit, because the meat was delicious. Sides were good too but some just weren't my taste - personal preference though.

The staff aren't exactly fluent in English but the menu is. Gestures, smiles, and a few KR/ENG words would suffice. Shout out to the other customer seated next to us translating what the staff said.

first, be prepared to wait! but i think it's a good thing they use CatchTable for their queueing system, which means we could walk around the area for a little bit and explore.

Now, onto the main event. These are probably some of the best pork cuts I've had in a long while, also considering they got the Michelin tag with them, they're quite decently priced for what you're getting. Simple, no frill, straight forward, and delicious !

The Service were good, friendly enough in general and the waiter that we had, he was chatty and friendly. Of course there's a certain efficiency that they had to run with, considering how fast they have to turn each table for the next lot of people.

Must try : Pork Shoulder, Belly, and the truffle chapagetti.

Having a poor experience on the service, Esp a woman waitress having poor emotion. And she asked if we have to accept for waiting for 1 hr for a big table or separate into two tables. i were thinking the reason of waiting 1 hr for waiting a table but we still answered for the request. Then there was a table for even two but can sit for 7 ppl. We would like to ask if we could sit and it was ok. She just said you had answered u can wait an hour for a bigger table and now the table was not suitable for you guys, if you cant wait, just leave.sigh, we came here for good recommends, anyways an hour waiting and said either waiting for 1 hour or just keep waiting….. maybe up to 6 ppl is not good for here and hope the service can be...
