Co:lumn had preserve the industrial architecture it originally designed; the coffee âïž shop was spacious and rawly decorated as timbered and rusty.
Once we opened the huge wood door, a large piece of wood-made artwork was place at the entrance - looked like a weaving machine of the old days. At the far end, a Christmas tree đ was glinting under the sunlight shed through the glass roof canopy. The scent of coffee permeated the whole place, calmly welcomed every customers.
Co:lumn was separated into two halves, one served coffee, and another housed the kitchen. Maintaining the huge headroom of a warehouse trees with brown leaves were planted on the kitchen side. There were two fireplaces ran with real wood logs that kept people warm; the time their staffs refilled logs was quite entertaining as it was not something common seen in a city.
The mezzanine floor was a prefect place for group gathering, a quiet room with seats facing the windows that opened to the main street, and a wireframe artworks making the cozy place quite art-buffâing.
We stayed on the kitchen side, and ordered a cappuccino and an Irish âïž coffee, both were fabulous; wipe cream on top of a Irish coffee was quite unusual and the barista had spared us with this weird request. Another strange order was a Margarita pizza đ for breakfast - it was the only visit we arranged in our journey, and we also wanted to try out their food. The pizza was freshly made, we can add olives and pickles as we wanted, and it was delicious.
The slanted roof of the original warehouse did not give much room for a rooftop terrace, however, a few tables there were good enough for customers who needed some...

The space boasts impressively high ceilings and two large dining areas â it gave off a vibe reminiscent of trendy cafĂ©s in Chiang Mai. The interior design is definitely a highlight, with a central display of pastries for customers to choose from.
The café was extremely noisy and crowded during our visit. Many people were waiting for seats, and drinks took a while to be prepared.
However, the mango bingsu was refreshing and absolutely perfect for a hot summer day â definitely worth trying.
One major downside was the restroom situation. For such a large cafĂ©, there were only three stalls in the womenâs restroom and one additional space marked for staff only â highly insufficient given the volume of guests.
