Guldari Restaurant — Restaurant in Seoul

Read about this online and decided to hunt for it. It is hidden in a small alley but in fact has a huge banner in front. Perhaps I went via the side entrance as the restaurant has another door to it! The store owners are very friendly and knowing we were familiar with the menu, recommended their Kimchi Jjigae that they are known for, coupled with 제육볶음 stir fried pork and 계란말이 egg rolls. These came with side dishes and seaweed that paired very well with the rice. The kimchi is so juicy and delicious, and the soup is refillable!! The meat is tender and tasty and all of the food items paired well together. The food is not too spicy, otherwise the rice and egg can help...

We were hungry and looking for a place to eat. This place seemed crowded but had few unoccupied tables. So gave them a try.

They have only 3 items on the menu, 김치찌개, 제육볶음, and 개란마리 (kimchi stew with pork, stir-fried pork, and egg roll (100% egg, not to be confused with fried egg rolls served in many Chinese restaurants in USA))

We tried 김치찌개 and 제육볶음. Food was very tasty and portions were good. Ended up spending 21,000 won.

Service was quick and efficient.

Although we would not go multiple times during short duration. Would be good place to visit...

Very traditional. The owner and staff do not speak any english and we had to order food for all the people at the table (you can’t be 3 people and only order for 2). It’s worth it if you want to try kimchi chicken in a local, Korean place. Had a pot of kimchi chicken and some assortments for 3 people and a beer...
