Considering the many stars and reviews this place has had, I kind of expected more from the food. I'd gone with my family for the holidays and ordered five different pastas, one pizza and one salad. The salad was good, with all different types of green leaves sprinkled with balsamic sauce and herbs. It's a must have if you order pasta or pizza. The basket of garlic bread they brought out as appetizers, were quite crunchy and soft but seasoned just right (absolutely delicious). The bread itself was quite big, so I was a little worried we'd stuff ourselves with it first. But back to the pasta. We'd ordered four tomato-sauce based pastas, one of them including a lasagna. The noodles for the salted pollack roe aglio e olio was very good, though I wouldn't recommend it if you hate the taste of pollack roe. The others were so-so. The wide variety of pastas was quite satisfactory, since there was the excitement of debating which dish to choose, but I don't think the food itself was really deserving of the $20+ pricetag. Some of the dishes are also really spicy, so beware when ordering. But considering that it was in Seollae town, that wasn't surprising. Read more서래마을에 입점한지 오래된 유명한 집입니다. 다만 우리나라의 다이닝 수준이 올라가서 그런지 음식에 임팩트가 부족하다는 생각입니다. 서래마을이라는 입지의 특이성을 감안해야 하겠지만, 지금 정도의 음식 질과 양이면 가격이 좀 높은 듯.
아란치니: 평범한 편이었지만 약간 눌은듯한 고소한 향과 기름지지 않아서 먹기 좋았습니다.
알리오올리오: 감칠맛을 내기 위해서 조미료를 쓴 듯 한데 상당히 애매합니다. 깔끔하게 가거나, 아니면 엔초비를 사용했으면 더 좋았을거 같은데 혼다시 같은 것을 사용해서 동네 파스타집 알리오올리오가 되어버린 느낌이었습니다.
라자냐: 라구 소스의 깊이감이 부족했습니다. 고기와 와인의 향이 충분하지 않아서 허브들과의 밸런스가 깨져 있었는데, 가게에서 직접 만든거든 사온거든 라구 소스는 크게 손을 봐야할 듯.
가자미 리조토: 신메뉴라고 해서 시켰는데 오늘 먹은 디시 중에서 가장 만족스러웠습니다. 가자미 처리나 익힘 정도도 좋고, 리조토와의 궁합도 좋고, 리조토 자체도 맛있었습니다. 레몬향이 가자미와 리조토 모두에서 큰 역할을 합니다.
네가지 치즈피자: 치즈 자체는 맛있었는데 온도나 시간을 잘 못 맞춘 듯 도우가 여기저기 타서 쓴 맛이 납니다. 치즈피자는 소스가 적어서 탄 맛을 가릴 수가 없지요...
전체적으로 지금 가격의 2/3 정도면 별을 네 개까지 줄 수도 있을텐데 좀...
