I love places that stay true to its theme and do their best to deliver the message they first started with. Yangchul Seoul seems to be one of them as the restaurant places its focus heavily on seasonal ingredients delivered from local farms in Korea.
The restaurant is cozy, spacious and quiet with high ceiling. I am usually quite sensitive to sounds but I could comfortably have a chat with my company. This was a huge plus as I tend to avoid places where conversation gets muffled away with the background noise and music.
All the dishes here were not only visually inviting but also refreshingly delightful. I was more than pleasantly surprised by how each ingredient could bring out flavors the way they did. You also get to see how each ingredients are cooked if you get a bar seat.
We had a 7 course for dinner and my mom couldn’t stop complimenting almost all the dishes (except for the noodles as the portion was quite big and nothing about it particularly stood out unlike other main dishes) till we left the restaurant.
The street cats comes around to the terrace area outside the restaurant for food as the staffs have set up a small shelter for them.

5가지/7가지 코스로 디너 구성이 되어 있으며, 주 재료는 채소. 채소이기는 한데, 독특하니 맛이 좋았다.
단. 다만. 양이 절대적으로 적은 편.
여자분들끼리 가면 그냥저냥 배 적당히 채우고 나오는데, 남자분들은 백퍼 2차 가서 탄수화물 보충해야할 듯.
그리고 와인을 같이 주문할 수 있는데, 그 날의 코스에 맞춘 레드 4종 화이트 4종 정도를 권해줌. 그 중에 내츄럴와인이 6병이었는데... 아 역시 내츄럴와인은 정말 내 취향 아님.
와인리스트가 따로 있는 것도 아니라, 선택의 폭이 적고.. 가장 저렴한 와인이 트레디셔널 와인들인데 8만원부터 시작. 내츄럴와인 1병에 10만원을 쓴다는건 개인적으로 용납할 수 없...지만 그래도 나는 지인찬스로 간거라......
