Yomenya Goemon — Restaurant in Seoul

This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Seoul. We waited for 30 minutes to get a table but the wait was well worth it.

When you go, order an omelet and pasta dishes. This may be the fluffiest omeletettes you will ever consume. I adore Japanese style spaghetti and omelettes (especially with omurice) and these folks do it even better than their Japanese counterparts. Wow.

The pasta dishes are accompanied by a light, crunchy salad with bacon bits. Very tasty. But this place is all about the omelette + pasta combo.

Good things : Food was tasty especially the pasta was in perfect al dente. Way above expectation from Japanese Pasta restaurant. The male staff (think he's a manager) was kind and quickly responded to all. Bad things : Other than the male staff, another female staff was not kind. Maybe she was having a bad day. But she was not comparable to the other. Also, I wish them to prepare aprons in the future. This place is in Gangnam area, which is full of people all the time. Costumers are variety, and businessmen is one of them. Most of businessmen wear shirt, and expect to eat delicious pasta cooked with load of sauce thats either Tomato red or Rosé pink.... Yomenya Goemon in Gangnam is a Japanese based pasta franchise. It faithfully serves Japanese take on Italian pasta dishes.

The most quintessential Japanese Italian past of them all is mentaiko spaghetti or pollock roe spaghetti. This dish is almost a Japanese comfort food and can be found in many cafe eatery in Japan.

The taste is great and I would recommend going with a set (drink, salad, soup and dessert combo). For sides I would recommend the cabbage minced meat croquettes assuming it’s available since it’s always sold out.
