Environment: 15 min wait (post lunch) to get into the building. Another 5 to 10 minutes to order. Seating was tight, 1 floor only. If you go make sure you have at least one person with you so they can find a table while you're waiting to order. Koreans are a little more social so they'll spend a little more time sitting and socializing which also makes it difficult to find seats. Very difficult to find seating for groups larger than four.
Food: Good burger, A little small for a single. For the price they could afford to put a whole leaf of lettuce on. My burger had two skimpy pieces of lettuce that didn't even cover the burger). Solid 3/5 (McDonalds is a 1.5-2/5 imo). Chocolate shake was again good but not great (3/5, Brooklyn is a 4+) and it's relatively small about 12 ounces which is expensive for the price. Tasted like they had a middle-of-the-road ice cream with a little bit of Hershey's chocolate sauce). The fries were good but again not great 2.5/5, cheese sauce...meh.
Overall: 3/5 I wouldn't go again unless a friend wanted to. If I'm going to pay 20 bucks for a burger meal I'll pay $4 dollars more and go to "Brooklyn the burger joint" and get a much better (and bigger) burger and a much, much better (and bigger, about twice as big) shake and they...
Read moreFinally tried the Shake Shack burger 쉑쉑버거! Walk in, order and pick it up when the bell rings. The waiting (less than 5 min), I suspect, is because they grill the burger patties just before serving - which is Shake Shack's core value proposition. I ordered the Shack burger (single), fries and Coke. Well, it was a very straight forward burger with all the basic ingredients to the making (i.e., burger patty, buns, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese). The burger was a bit smaller and thinner than I had expected. It still looks bigger in the picture. The taste of the beef patty had great grill flavor to it with fantastic juicy texture in the mouth. The burger also had amazing butter after taste. Fries were below Micky D's quality, so no comment on this. Would have no problem coming back for more but...
Read moreSuper small trash unstable tables 2 inches from each other and no space to walk to empty trays on the first floor. Guess shake Shack got tired of the western style design and figured Koreans and asians don't mind sitting 2 inches from the other party. Too cheap to pay the rent from the bigger space they had in their location across the street. Half the space here and half the rent maybe. Make the customers order at a kiosk that takes 5 to 8 minutes to figure out and then make them stand in a cramped space waiting for their food. So much for being western style besides the food. Atmosphere was so small and stuffy. No thanks for 1st floor...
