The Top Tenerife — Restaurant in Adeje

We visited the hotels main restaurant “The Top” as a special occasion.

My gosh. We were judged from the moment we entered by not only staff but guests of the hotel.

It was an hour and forty minutes before we received our starter. Once received, we had the wrong starter anyway. I tried to explain this to the server who, instead, assured me this is the correct order and began to explain to me what the ingredients were…

I finally had them correct our meal which I admit was lovely once we had the starter we actually ordered.

2 hours into our dinner service, two tables who had been sat after us had already received mains and some deserts… by this point we felt pretty uncomfortable.

The mains arrived finally. 2 steaks at 45 euros each. Bland and tasteless with no real side garments… also, more fat than meat.

It took that long to come I wasn’t hungry anymore which was felt so wasteful.

I’ve been to plenty of fine dining restaurants and this is by far not fine dining.

As the servers did not understand much English we felt we could not complain.

The bill finally came which was also incorrect which we had to point out to have amended.

Disappointed and will most definitely not return. €220 for the worst meal of our holiday.

We were tempted to book this hotel next visit. We surely won’t be as this has tarnished...

Such an amazing view, and food that equals the views!!!

The place is open daily for snacks with the infinity pool, and most nights (currently every day except Mondays and Thursdays, when the tasting restaurants are open), with a really nice menu!

The menu is diverse, having pasta, beef, chicken, seafood, etc! And some extremelly well made cocktails (highly recommend their Long Island, it’s incredible).

All these while looking over an infinity pool and the south coast...
