Marisquería La Bodega — Restaurant in Algarrobo

We were recommended this restaurant by friends who live in Algorroba. However, on visiting we found the service to be so very slow (so few staff), we were a group of 7 and ordered our starters, each one came out 10 mins apart so the first one brought out had finished theirs before the last one had. We had to ask waiter if we could order our main course (15 mins of waiting.. we tried to be patient) ... think he'd forgotten about us though we were only one table out if four tables ordering! Our main courses came out in parts...example one of our party ordered pork steak and chips with salad. The salad came out, 7 mins later they had chips brought out, 10 mins later their pork steak on separate plate! Can't complain about the actual food which was delicious when we eventually got it. However due to service alone we won't be going back. We didn't bother to stay for desserts. This wasn't even high season as it was end of March and only 4...

Bad service and nonexistent food timing! I was there with my family and my mother got her food 10 minutes after ordering, while my dad and I had to wait 55 minutes for small and simple dishes! The food was really plain and wasn't even seasoned. It was really noisy and the personnel didn't even put in any effort when serving. With all this in mind I was going to give them two stars, but then we had to wait another 30 minutes, after getting the bill, to pay! The only redeeming quality was probably...

They have a seasonal fish menu and in a great location. I had the Rosada and chips with the Ferrero roche cake and my partner had the deep fried prawns. All of the food was great and the staff were very easy to grab for more drinks etc. Eating the freshest seafood while looking out upon the sea is an experience I can't...
