Gurkha Kitchen Nepalí Indian Restaurant Algarrobo Costa - Mezquitilla — Restaurant in Vélez-Málaga

Having been open for around three months, and less than five minutes from where we live, we thought it time we went to find out if all the excellent reviews were valid, and they certainly are. There were four of us, and from the moment we arrived we were greeted and looked after by a group of waiters and waitresses who obviously enjoyed their work. Very hospitable, helpful and efficient in a laid back sort of way. We all ordered different dishes from quiet an extensive menu catering for all tastes. There was an interesting vegetarian section, which I assume also contained vegan dishes. The ingredients of each dish, together with its " heat" level were described, but the waiter asked when taking the order what level of heat you preferred. The meats offered were chicken, lamb, duck, and langoustine. You could tell that every dish was freshly prepared using high quality ingredientes. The bill for four of us, including drinks and wine came to around 30 Euros each, but for the quality of the food and the service given, I reckon it was a bargain. It seems that we must...

Went for a menu del día which was good value and generous portions. The service was friendly and efficient. We sat outside under the covered terrace. It was a bit too close to the road with cars and lorries rumbling past. Also there was noise from the building site next door. As the weather was nice it would have been a shame to sit inside but it might have been a better option with less noise. Overall a nice curry but nothing to tempt me away from our favourite and...
