Restaurante La Playita — Restaurant in Alicante

It was probably the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant, and it was so easy to make it good at the beautiful Alicante waterfront.

I get it; it was a busy and sunny day on the beautiful Alicante shores, and I made sure I had a reservation before going there.

We were 4 people and got seated right away. Somehow, there were only 2 servers for the whole restaurant, and it took them 15 min to get our drinks order. What a no sense.

Shortly after we ordered some appetizers and the star of the house, PAELLA 🥘

The appetizers came out at a reasonable pace despite the server serving some appetizers we'd never ordered we understood the lack of professionalism and moved ahead, and that was all, for our frustration after 40 min we asked for our paella only to be told it was on the make, there's no way, more surprisingly we started to see people that came after us getting their paella it was more than an hour, I asked to for the bill, more than 2h have passed since we first got seated; 2 hours!!!!!!!! Ruined our lunch, appetite and mood

When we thought we were gonna be able to leave that place we asked for the bill multiple times only to be told the paella was about to be served, I got mad, and we all got mad I told whoever was serving us that I was not gonna be paying for that, we got into a quick disagreement until the owner or manager stepped in and brought us the bill without (of course) the paella

That was terrible and as a local living abroad I felt ashamed of that...

We came here for our last evening meal on Sunday, I have to say we had a lovely meal on Friday with great service, but today was just an absolute joke.

First of all we have reserved for 9 pm, there was no table reserved for us , So the waiter moved people along .

He served the drinks relatively quick, and took our order, we waited approximately one hour for him to bring one Russian salad , though we ordered another lobster salad and croquetas … after half an hour I asked him where our other salad and croqueras were , he said that the lobster salad was not available … and brought croquetas after … we waited another half hour , and still no main course , by this time it was 11 pm, we have been waiting two hours, I just thought it was ridiculous, so I asked to pay for the bill of what we had eaten and drunk, and they had the cheek to try and charge me for the lobster salad that was not even served …

It’s really a disappointment because it was our last meal here and we ended up ordering off UBER.

I think management really needs to see what the heck is going on here, because we were there Friday night and the service was very good, but tonight was just a complete...

A small piece of clothing floating in my coffee !!!

Nice setting and when the food does not contain literal rubbish in it, it is not bad although not exceptional (rice dish too salty and poorly garnished).

Unfortunately, I have to report our bad experience.

We were a group of four and wanted to try two different rice dishes (each said to be for a minimum of two people). However, the waiter returned from the kitchen and informed us that the entire table had to order the same rice dish. It appeared that the chef was unwilling to prepare two separate dishes, which felt inflexible and unaccommodating.

More shockingly, I discovered what looked like a blue clothing tag floating in my coffee. Thankfully, I noticed it before taking a sip. When we asked for a small gesture of goodwill—such as not charging us for the coffees (which were replaced twice with ones we didn’t even order)—the person in charge refused any form of compensation.

Very disappointing. Unhygienic practices and poor customer service....
