Txoko La Herradura Taberna Vasca — Restaurant in Almuñécar

The service was excellent. Owner was lovely. For price I did not think it was worth other restaurants we went near by was better food. It’s a strange combination of menu (croquets and an attempt of an Asian Japanese twist to the food). The steak was not steak it was cold mushy steaks bits put back together? That was a very expensive dish around 20 euros and it was not nice. I’m sorry because I liked the restaurant but I have to be honest the food was not fantastic and I would not recommend it...

What a wonderful experience it was to dine at this new restaurant, opened only two weeks ago. The experience and influence of the 7 countries he claimed to have worked in can clearly be seen in Carlos‘s menu. Every single dish (we shared the hindu lentil salad, the tacos and the seabass) was a pleasant surprise in taste with the spices finely balanced. Very tasty food and nice service. Special mention to the “presa” plate because although many restaurants around have this same plate here is quite unique with a mix of oriental flavors, totally unexpected and great surprise. Always happy to see people innovating.
