O'cado | Alquézar — Restaurant in Alquézar

We had an amazing lunch here after a hike on "la ruta de las pasarelas". The menu del día is very reasonably priced and comes included with a nice bottle of Somontano wine. We had a salad which was the only low point of the meal (one of those that come with grated carrot from a jar), a rice that was one of the best I have ever tasted (very creamy, with pieces of longaniza and it tasted of mutton), amazing mutton chops (very tender and very flavourful) and hake (if I remember correctly) with an incredible sauce. I also had a delicious "milhojas" for dessert, my partner just had a coffee and they didn't even charge extra, they were happy to replace his dessert with it. The service was fast and attentive, the waiter was really nice, he gave us a lot of information about the local foods for example. It's not often that I am so happy with a meal, but everything was perfect and makes us want to visit...

We booked this restaurant this evening as it had a good rating. Big mistake. Whilst several neighbouring restaurants are offering great value and good food for 20 euros both at lunch and evening, this restaurant did not make it clear that they were only offering the set menu at lunch. They were happy to let use the QR code to chose our set meal as, although we speak some Spanish, the waiter was less than helpful. At no point we’re we told that this menu was only applicable at lunch times. The food was at best mediocre and the price was double what we expected to pay. What’s more the staff were very rude and offensive when we tried to talk to them about how misleading they have been. There are plenty of better...

Tres cuartos de hora para que vinieran a tomar nota, no han venido y sin bebidas ni nada. Al final abandonamos sin comer ni beber... el trato bastante pésimo. Lo siento pero no volveremos.

RESPUESTA DEL CLIENTE: No me confundo de sitio en absoluto, me hace mucha gracia que diga que les identifican por su buena atención, ya que ni siquiera querían que abriésemos la sombrilla, llevando a un bebé y haciendo un sol bastante considerable. La respuesta fue, que preguntásemos a la mesa de al lado si podíamos abrirla, ya que podían molestarse. Punto nº1, que a mi entender, cuando un cliente entra por la puerta, es igual de cliente que el que ya está sentado. A no ser, que les guste recibir malas críticas, ya que este tipo de trato sobra en un restaurante. Punto nº2, tres cuartos de hora para que viniera alguien a tomar nota de las bebidas, tampoco estaba el restaurante en hora punta y la mayoría de mesas ya habían comido. Lo siento, si no le gusta mi comentario, pero en lugar de afirmar si me he confundido, haga una valoración profesional real, e intente mejorar, a veces las criticas ayudan mucho a construirse profesionalmente y hay que saber aceptarlas. Aunque si le soy sincera le diré que peor fue el trato recibido por el restaurante vecino, así que después de tan malísima experiencia, creo que cualquier cosa es mejorable. Le animo, a no seguir su ejemplo si quiere tener mejores críticas. Por supuesto volveré a visitar Alquezar y su maravilloso paisaje, pero comer, creo que optaremos por ir a los pueblos vecinos, a ver si son mas...
