We only had two nights in Altea and we ate here for both. First time was so good we came back. Douglas, the owner of this family run restaurant, is charming and helpful and speaks excellent English. Nice casual atmosphere , inside and outside seating . Comfortably away from the hustle of the beachfront and full of locals which is always a good sign. The empanadas are excellent as was the black bean pork stew, the salmon and vegetables, calamari and the Yuca! The churros were also amazing . Read moreI dont normally like Empinadas as they are too pastry heavy, WOW these are something completely different so light and crispy with meat gambas and other amazing fillings - have been back twice now just for these and hooked on them they are delicious! As we live in Altea La Vella ill now go back to try other things people have commented on like the steak, The Brazilian version is far more tasty than the average Spanish Empinadas. The interior could be a little more welcoming and more restaurant like but hey im not complaing prices...
