Blue Sardine Altea Hostal – Great Location & Comfort with One Drawback

I stayed at Blue Sardine Altea and had a really pleasant experience overall. The location is absolutely ideal—right next to the beach, which makes it super practical if you’re looking to relax by the sea or explore the charming town of Altea.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and everything in the room worked well, including the AC and TV.

The only downside I found was the poor sound isolation—you can hear quite a bit of noise from outside and even within the building. It didn’t ruin my stay, but it’s definitely something that could be improved.

If the team at Blue Sardine can fix the soundproofing issue, this place has real potential to be one of the best hostals in town. Would still recommend it for its location, comfort, and...

What a fabulous experience staying at the Blue Sardine. Our room was one of the best we have ever stayed at with original features, boutique styling and a very large roof top balcony and sun patio area. The views from our sun terrace were of the sea, mountains and old town. Each way we looked there was another marvellous view! Angelica and the team at Blue Sardine could not have been more helpful, what lovely people. The room was spotless and refreshed daily. The Team even left a very special personal gift and message for a birthday we celebrated during the holiday. The Blue Sardine is in a great location with easy access to the promenade, beaches, sea view restaurants and the amazing old town with its church, plaza and stylish restaurants only streets away.
