We came here based on the results from Google maps as the score is pretty high in comparison to many places in Altea. When we entered no one even noticed, we stood at the door for a while, then decided to sit down at one of the tables. Even though there were maybe 3 other clients, nobody was coming up to us. When we were about to leave, finally one of the staff came up to us and brought us a menu. We came for dinner and decided on the menu of the day. First we each got potato and vegetable salad with 4 bread sticks. The salad itself is good, the presentation is lacking. You also get a basket with bread which is much better than the bread sticks. The second starter was a fried frankfurter on "caramelised onions", which was rather more of an onion marmalade. For the main we got seafood paella, which comes with chicken too. For us it was not a problem but if you have some dietary preferences you should be aware. It's not the first place in the region we ordered seafood paella and it had chicken. The taste was fine, with plenty of seafood. For dessert we got flan, which looked like it was bought in a grocery shop nearby and put on the plate with a blop of whipped cream. You get plenty of food so you don't come out hungry but the standard is not the best. The staff was friendly...

Llegamos a las 10 aproximadamente y empezamos a cenar a las 11.23. Nos pusieron la bebida pronto y unos frutos secos...ya nos quedamos sin bebida y la cena no llegaba, al quejarnos un par de veces muchas disculpas de la camarera y unas aceitunas para entretenernos. No llegaba la cena y las dos mesas que llegaron despues ya tenian caras de desesperacion. Era una cena básica... albóndigas que las tienen hechas y solo es calentar, un bocata y un sanwich vegetal que lo pusieron si tostar ni el pan...se lo llevaron y lo, volvieron a traer, un trozo de empanada de las que venden en la panaderia que solo era cortarla y pinerla en un plato. Y para eso una hora y media. El camarero rapido y eficiente. El problema es la cocina y el responsable o dueño del local que no es un auténtico hostelero y no muestra demasiado interes en su negocio.Nos querian clavar encima 49 euros, como ya estabamos indignados y despues de tanto esperar ya no teniamos ni hambre y se quedo alli la mitad de la cena. Al protestar otra vez nos rebajo unos euros después de hablar con el jefe. Estuve observando la escena y ya donde esta el gran fallo del negocio...el propietario. Me he tomado la molestia de ver otras reseñas y las respuestas que les dan. Si este señor me contesta y me dice lo que les ha dicho a otras personas, solo decirle que soy una persona medianamente inteligente y obsevadora y no me va a convencer...y si me dice que busque otro sitio mejor le tomo la palabra.No volvere más y al que pueda le advierto.
