Not worth a 4+ rating The good bit - food is excellent The bad bit - service is not great The detail made a booking in person at the restaurant at 5.30 pm for a table at the window for 8.30 pm. Booking and details written into restaurant diary. Arrived at 8.30pm and obviously the window tables were occupied. We were given an excellent outside table overlooking the sea. We sat down and 2 minutes later the waitress told us the table was reserved and we need to move to an inside table. We told her we had booked a table at the window. She asked “was it the chef you booked with” raising her eyes. We agreed to move. One table at the see was vacant for the whole time we were there. Service was generally patchy. I would have been happy to deal with the issue with the staff in the restaurant - but nobody cared...

This place amazed us. Late at night when incredibly busy they managed to make space for us. When dealing with my daughter’s severe allergies they were incredibly helpful and made sure everything was safe to eat, she therefore could eat what she wanted. The same way was my friend with her daughter treated with type 1 diabetes. They helped out greatly. My daughter who is picky with meat was I incredibly pleasantly impressed with the high quality of steak and sauce with it not being over chewy or undercooked when she asked for well done. My word. From start to finish, this place was amazing. Lovely staff greeted us at the door and showed our family (with 3 children) to the terrace with stunning views over the bay of Altea. We were made to feel very welcome throughout. We had the menu of the day which, for €25, is great value - a selection of delicious starters was followed by an amazing steak with peppercorn sauce. The desserts - tiramisu, ice cream and flan - were also lovely. The children had a kids menu which, for €15 gave them a drink, pudding and a proper Argentinian size burger! Genuinely, one of the best restaurants we’ve been to - can’t recommend...
