We went yesterday to Port d'Andratx for a romantic dinner as it was our wedding anniversary. Initially we were planning to go to another restaurant located nearby but for our disappointment we were refused a table there as we hadn't reserved table in advance. We walked away and stopped in front of the Latitud39 ... And that's when our amazing culinary experience journey began... We were approached and greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic staff member that told us that would not be an issue if we hadn't booked table as they had still some available. All staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and a special thanks to the head waiter as he just made our evening and experience much more interesting due to his deep knowledge of their food and wines and his patience explaining everything in detail (dishes wines and flavour combinations) and as well for the recommendations that he did that were simply fantastic. All food was cooked to perfection and extremely well presented and every single dish was simply delicious ... The prices are great for the top noch food quality and service that we get there .. this was by far our best dinner experience ever in Mallorca.. Definitely we will be back in future visit to Mallorca.. Keep going with your excellent service and food guys... Thank you guys for the amazing experience that we had with you on our special...
Read moreA mixed experience. Their terrace is very pleasant with lovely views out into the bay of Port Andratx. The service was friendly. We ordered the specials of the day, marinated artichokes then a fried monkfish fillet and a cut of local fish (a type of yellowtail).
The yellowtail was delicious, and the accompanying potato puree a pure delight. However, the artichokes were €14 for three mushy, poorly seasoned hearts that barely classified as a starter. The monkfish was fresh, but the green peas it came with chewy and undercooked. The main dishes weren't hot and small. The desserts we ordered though were yummy and homemade, so full marks for that.
There is no wine by the glass. When we asked for an Albariño, we were presented with a bottle and not asked for any preference - there were 4 on the menu. When we inquired what the catch of the day was, the waitress didn't know. For a seafood restaurant in an exclusive dining zone where we paid over €130 for a meal for two this is simply not good enough.
All in all, it was decent, but shockingly overpriced and with plenty of room for improvement. Other places serve the whole fish...
Read moreThe Service was very very friendly and helpfull. Thank you very much. The Food was ok. Nothing outstanding. The upfront bread was not warm and something special. But very sad about the Fish.. It was okay, but the quality of the fish was not very good. the cook made the best of it. To be fair: the price was very fair with 31 euro in this location. But could be also 39 euro with a better fish in my opinion.
very sadly was, that in the end, after the main course no waiter took care anymore about us. the restaurant get full and the service changed their priorities and i had to call often someone by myself. please be careful to your clients after the maincourse. Sad also they dont have oyster. but very friendly service made us special prawns.. thanks for all.
In the end: i would choose this restaurant again.. is on the strip one of the best...
