Paella was definitely a pre-made frozen one that was simply heated up. Steak was good quality but very small. The lamb chops were minute and all cartilage – very little meat. We order plain pasta with a bit of cheese for the children. An adult size portion of plain pasta came on a scolding hot plate with a small amount of cheese 12€ each – 24€ for some that probably cost 2€, that is quite a mark up. We sat outside which was nice. The owner was there, he did no work to help the overstretched waiters, he just happy went around the tables with his card reader. When we complained about the chops to the waiter the owner disappeared into the restaurant. There was no apology or explanation, the waiter brought the bill which included the chops. When we refused to pay for them he accused us of lying – still no sign of the owner. When we said 12€ each for the pasta was expensive the waiter said that’s the price you pay on the front line in Andratx. Unfortunately they haven’t heard of front line service! Very disappointing, we will not...
Read moreFirst of all, the Meat was very good the other time I went there and the waiters were very friendly, but(!) This time I went for a lunch with a friend and we ordered the seafood paella. I payed 48€ for a “2” person paella which was just for one person in size (was barely bigger than my plate). With 3 Mussels 2 gambas and 2 langustinos (i doubt they were as fresh as the ones I am used to have here in the port) on top and rest rice. We had starters and still were hungry after we left. On top the service was unexpectedly bad, I never had the experience that the paella was just put in the middle of our table with no spoon, no lemon wipes after, nothing and we had to serve ourselves. And don’t even ask if we got the chopitos de la casa lmao I should have payed more attention to the comments from last year, because apparently the “paella-cause” is still a thing. Better go literally everywhere else in the port for this. View is great tho and as I said, the meat...
Read moreNice location with attentive and friendly staff, but overall feels quite expensive and a bit overpriced. We ordered the paella for two, priced at 26 EUR per person, but were disappointed with the portion. It included just 2 clams, 1 prawn, and 1 shrimp per person, along with rice and some small pieces of fish (which seemed like kitchen leftovers—nothing inherently wrong with that, but not worth the price).
The quality of the food was decent, but the pricing felt too high for what we received. One thing that left us particularly baffled was being served a starter of bread, aioli, and olives, which we never ordered. We assumed it was a complimentary gesture from the restaurant, only to find out we were charged for it. That felt a bit cheeky and added to the sense of being overcharged.
Overall, the service was great, but the value for money left a lot...
