The place cannot be better in terms of views and charm because it is right by the waterfront in a very nice part of the island (regardless of the very abusive construction), and with a southwest facing orientation which gives it good warm weather all the year through (a bit stuffy during the height of summer, though). Cuisine is so and so. You would come here for the fish and seafood and that was fairly unspectacular (shrimp rice dish had excellent shrimp but the rice itself was bland and watery). Good burger as the cooks seem to be Argentinian or Brazilian. Decent service but that does not compensate for the cuisine. Good food and nice view of harbour but poor service. We had a table for 2 over looking the harbour, which was a lovely view. The food was of good quality and cooked well; my wife had the lamb shoulder for main course, which she said was lovely. The service here could be much improved. No interaction with paying tourist customers other than taking your order and bringing your food and drinks. It's probably that way with tourists as a table for 2 next to us arrived 15 minutes after us whom the waiter knew. Grazioso ristorante con splendida vista sul porto. Ottime recensioni che non hanno rispettato le aspettative.

Arrivati, siamo stati accompagnati al tavolo ed abbiamo chiesto la possibilità di cenare ad uno dei 3 tavolini per 2 vista mare non ancora occupati. La cameriera risponde con tono seccato che erano prenotati, ho fatto presente che anche noi avevamo una prenotazione. Con tono ed atteggiamento indispettito ha voluto mostrarmi il registro delle prenotazioni che erano segnate in ordine di chiamata: dato che la nostra era l’ultima, non ci spettava la posizione richiesta.

Nonostante il trattamento poco professionale e maleducato, ci sediamo ed ordiniamo: arroz de Notari ed una bottiglia di … , rifiutando espressamente pane ed olive ( avendo ormai esperienza che non è mai offerto ).

Arriva il vino, e la stessa cameriera ci mette sul tavolo pane ed olive. Comunico prontamente che non è stato ordinato. Con tono infastidito riprende il cibo dal tavolo e bofonchia un commento a noi incomprensibile in spagnolo al collega. L’arroz de Notari viene portato in un tegame di terracotta e servito nei piatti, lasciandone una parte al suo interno. Durante la cena ci hanno chiesto più volte, nonostante i piatti pieni, se avessimo voluto il riso restante della pentola. Questa insistenza ci ha dato l’impressione che avessero necessità di ritirare il tegame - unico del ristorante? Il pesce non era fresco, e possiamo affermarlo con certezza dato che proveniamo da una città di mare, Livorno. 64€ per: 2 gamberi, una marea di totani ed una vecchia aragosta.

Comprendiamo il prezzo alto per la posizione sul porto, ma il pesce deve essere fresco, dal momento che i pescherecci scaricano il pesce davanti al ristorante.

Ci spiace, ma per noi è no. Qualità/prezzo deve assolutamente essere rivisto, così come la professionalità...
