Tim's — Restaurant in Andratx

I've been coming to Tim's for years and have always loved the drinks, food, and overall vibe. I understand that with the rise in tourism in Mallorca, things can get busy, stressful, and crowded. However, I truly believe Tim's is hurting its own business by not improving its service.

My boyfriend and I were patiently waiting to be seated or at least acknowledged, but the waiter was rude from the start. He didn’t greet us, avoided eye contact, and when we politely asked how long the wait for a table might be, he simply snapped, “I don’t know.” So, we left and went to No11 instead, a lovely bar just around the corner with kind and attentive staff.

Even later, when Tim's became less crowded, the staff continued to be dismissive and unwelcoming. Both my cocktail and my boyfriend’s beer were slammed down on the table without a word, and overall, the service was completely lacking.

I honestly feel that the prices no longer reflect the experience, especially when it comes to hospitality. We usually love to tip generously, but sadly we left Tim's with a sour taste in our mouths.

Tim’s is in a fantastic location – right on the harbor with beautiful views and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The food is decent; nothing extraordinary, but tasty and good enough for a casual dinner.

Unfortunately, the service is really poor. It’s surprisingly difficult to order a drink because the waiters barely look around. You have to really try to get their attention, and once you finally manage to order, it takes a very long time before your drinks arrive. It really slows down the whole experience and can be quite frustrating.

The female manager stands out for the wrong reasons – she’s very grumpy, never smiles, and doesn’t seem interested in providing good service. Ordering from her is unpleasant and unnecessarily difficult.

What they do get right is the entertainment. They often have great DJs and live music outside, which creates a really fun vibe. Later in the evening, when the volume has to go down, they switch to a silent disco setup with headphones – a creative and fun solution that works really well.

Mensch Tim, wenn es Dich wirklich geben sollte, denn das Restaurant heißt ja Tim’s, dann habe ich jetzt ein paar Hinweise für dich. Ich glaube aber, dass du die gar nicht nötig hast, aber vielleicht möchtest du ja besser werden. Wir waren heute zu siebt zu Gast bei dir und wollten nur etwas trinken und einige von uns eine Kleinigkeit essen. Ich fragte eine junge Kellnerin danach, wo wir uns dann hinsetzen dürfen. Sie zeigte auf zwei Tische an der Straße, obwohl ein Tisch direkt am Wasser frei war. Ich fragte sie dann, ob dieser Tisch für spezielle Gäste sei, und sie sagte, nein, aber wir sollten uns hier hinsetzen. Als dann noch ein Kellner kam, fragte ich diesen, und er sagte, wir könnten uns auch an den Tisch am Wasser setzen. Was wir dann auch getan haben. Als die junge Kellnerin das sah, brachte sie uns sichtbar, genervt und unfreundlich die Speisekarten. Ich erklärte dann, dass uns ihr Kollege diesen Platz erlaubt hätte. Darauf hat sie dann aber nicht reagiert. Das war schon mal ein schlechter Start. Wir bestellten dann Getränke, zwei Caesars Salad und einen Thunfisch Sandwich. Unsere Bestellung wurde dann von unserer Kellnerin, kommentiert mit einem Augenaufschlag und den Worten in englisch „Nicht mehr?“. Nein, es wollten nicht alle etwas essen. Das kann und darf vorkommen. Dann kam das Essen und ich bin mittlerweile Experte für Caesar’s salad. Das Thunfisch Sandwich war in Ordnung und auch preiswert. Der Caesar’s Salad war leider sehr salzig (Dressing) und der Salat auch vorgeschnitten, teilweise waren die Blätter deutlich welk. Das geht besser, wenn man den Salat frisch vor dem servieren schneidet. Dazu war der Salat am unteren Ende durchschnittlich groß und auch mit 16,15 € großzügig kalkuliert, was aber hinsichtlich der Lage des Restaurants in Ordnung geht. Zum Vergleich hatte ich im ältesten Golfclub Mallorcas am Vortag einen perfekten Caesar‘s salad der nur 15 € gekostet hat und hier war das Ambiente, der Service und die Atmosphäre einzigartig. Fazit: Das Tim’s hat nicht enttäuscht, aber es ginge deutlich mehr. Über die Zubereitung des caesar’s Salad sollte noch mal gesprochen werden und die junge Kellnerin braucht noch ein wenig Nachhilfe in Kundenfreundlichkeit. Lage und Ambiente des Restaurants sind gut.
