Unica Osteria-Pinseria — Restaurant in Andratx

We visited this restaurant today and initially, the experience was pleasant. The staff were friendly, and we were looking forward to our meal. We ordered a goat’s cheese salad, two pastas, and a pizza. One of the pasta dishes was the spaghetti with chilli oil and garlic there are two versions, one with shrimp and one without. I specifically ordered the one without shrimp for my husband, as he has a shellfish allergy.

When the food arrived, the pasta had been made with shrimp. We politely let the waiter know that we had asked for the version without. He took the dish away without any issue, which we appreciated.

However, what followed was truly disappointing. The waiter who originally took our order returned to our table in a confrontational and aggressive manner, loudly insisting that I had ordered the dish with shrimp. His tone was inappropriate and his approach was unnecessarily hostile especially in front of my family and other guests. It was embarrassing and completely unprofessional. I’ve never encountered a waiter who responded this way to a simple, fixable mistake.

We calmly reiterated that the dish had been ordered without shrimp which I know as a fact, but rather than listening or apologising, he continued to argue. Mistakes happen and that’s understandable. But the way he chose to handle the situation really spoiled what could have been a lovely lunch.

Despite us saying we didn’t want a replacement, they later brought the corrected pasta anyway but by that time, everyone else had already finished eating, and the moment had passed. The pizza, salad, and other pasta dish were all enjoyable, but the encounter with the waiter left us feeling deflated and upset.

This experience really overshadowed what started as a nice meal. It’s unfortunate when one person’s behaviour can negatively impact...

Me and my partner visited today for lunch, our waiter was polite from the get go. Quick to order drinks, our table was wobbly so that was quickly amended and asked if we needed anything else.

I ordered a tagliatelle with beef ragu and mushrooms in a creamy sauce, my partner ordered some sort of gnocchi. Food took a little while considering how quiet the restaurant was but was made fresh so can’t complain.

The tagliatelle was lovely, deep flavours all round with a nice hint of Parmiggiano but not too strong. Hard to say as someone who hates(d) mushrooms with a passion. The gnocchi was also lovely, I only tried a piece but it was very nice.

They also brought out 4 or 5 pieces of bread which was a nice touch.

Definitely a nice place to get a bite of eat on a walk along the sea front,...

Varios puntos a destacar, sobretodo el haber conocido al ‘jefe’. La comida bien, sin más. La atención recibida por parte de los camareros un 10. Todos muy simpáticos. El jefe, un 0. El restaurante fue recomendado por un amigo, el jefe sabía departe de quién veníamos pero lejos de saludarnos y dar la bienvenida nos estuvo mirando durante toda la cena con cara antipática, lo que hizo sentirnos muy incómodas, parecía que nos habíamos equivocado al aceptar venir. En el momento del pago hubo un problema con su datáfono pero confirmé al camarero que el pago estaba hecho. El jefe no se fiaba de su propio trabajador y envió al camarero a preguntar de nuevo, sin problema se lo dije pero nos hizo sentir como morosas. Fui a confirmar directamente con el jefe a lo que me respondió bastante borde con que el problema no tenía que ver conmigo. También trabajo atendiendo a clientes, y el respeto mínimo nunca hay que perderlo. Siempre la prioridad es el cliente y quién se tiene que sentir bienvenido. Desafortunadamente aquí mi experiencia no fue así y no repetiré NUNCA MÁS.

Several points to highlight, especially having met the 'head'. The food was good, no more. The attention received from the waiters a 10. All very nice. The boss, a 0. The restaurant was recommended by a friend, the boss knew who we were coming from but far from greeting us and welcoming us, he was looking at us throughout the dinner with an unfriendly face, which made us feel very uncomfortable, it seemed that we had made a mistake in agreeing to come. At the time of payment there was a problem with your dataphone but I confirmed to the waiter that the payment was made. The boss did not trust his own worker and sent the waiter to ask again, no problem I told him but he made us feel like delinquents. I went to confirm directly with the boss to which he answered me quite edge with that the problem had no to do with me. I also work serving clients, and the minimum respect must never be lost. The priority is always the customer and who has to feel welcome. Unfortunately here my experience was not like that and I will...
