Centro Comercial El Castillo — Local services in Antigua

Enjoyed a week here in March. Pleasant climate, sunny, around 21° most days, evenings chilly. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Wide coastal Promanade, lots of souvenir, and clothing shops. We stayed up in the hills about 30 min walk from the town so got plenty of exercise that week. Large Central beach is man-made with gritty sand each side is made up of lava rock formations. This is a modern town built for tourism with many ex pat Europeans running businesses. Streets are kept very clean by the local authority. Nice for a week away from the uk. Not really a place to go if you want...

Usual shops selling tourist trinkets etc. Some bargains to have. Choice of restaurants and bars. Some a little pricey so don't always go to the first one as other restaurants away from the centre cheaper and just as good. Try Kelly's restaurant if on a tighter budget, opposite a play area ideal if needing to entertain the kids whilst waiting...

A great place to visit - every type of restaurant is here - good food and good prices - some of the restaurants have a starter - main and dessert for under 10 euros - good breakfast for under 3 euros - really great night time entertainment in Piero's - you can also have a great meal and drinks before the show - different...
