Resturant Desi Dhaba — Restaurant in Badalona

We recently dined at Desi dhaba, and my experience left me with shocked. The food, while not terrible, was decidedly average. Given the high prices on the menu, I expected a higher standard of taste and presentation. Unfortunately, the flavors fell short of justifying the cost, leaving me feeling somewhat underwhelmed.

On a positive note, the service was commendable. The young smart kid was attentive, and prompt, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal.

However, a significant drawback was the presence of insects flying around the dining area. This issue was quite off-putting and detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. It’s an aspect that the management needs to address promptly to ensure a more pleasant...

Ambiente muy desagradable.

Hay que dejar claro que la comida es buena, y es muy barata, aunque si no indicas expresamente que no quieres picante, picará muchísimo.

Fui a este restaurante con mi mujer, es un local cutre pero decían que la comida era buena. Al entrar, nos percatamos que la clientela era pakistaní, al igual que la gente que trabaja allí. Curiosamente mi esposa era la única mujer del local.

Nada más sentarnos, empezamos a sentir una gran incomodidad, nos dio la sensación de que estábamos molestando a los demás comensales. Nada más sentarnos, todo el mundo nos leído a mirar, directa e indirectamente, de reojo, y todo el mundo empezó a hablar más bajo. Sentíamos que todos empezaron a hablar de nosotros; “¿para que vienen estos aquí?”. Los camareros igual, casi tienen que hacer un esfuerzo sobrehumano para atendernos en castellano, y a veces teniendo que recurrir al inglés. No entienden lo que significa baso de agua, tuvimos que indicarles “glass of water”.

El hecho más feo de la velada fue cuando hablando con mi mujer, nos reímos dentro de nuestra conversación, y en ese instante, todos los comensales se callaron y nos empezaron a mirar, tanto que se respiraba cierta tensión en el ambiente. Sentimos como si hubiéramos ido a un país del medio oriente, no desarrollado, y todo lo que hacíamos estaba mal.

De verdad, no me gusta hacer referencias raciales, pero no puedo evitarlo en esta situación. Si no eres pakistaní, no te quieren en este lugar, y tampoco si vas con mujeres. (Tiene habitaciones separadas por si vas a comer con tu mujer, pero nosotros no...
