CACTUS CAFÉ — Restaurant in Barcelona

Good cheap food but very poor service. We went in for brunch and were quite happy with the prices and initial greeting. However when it came to ordering food you could see that the tall gentleman was agitated perhaps at the fact that we were English speaking? When we asked for a scrambled egg he proceeded to take a deep breath and say “with what toppings?” As if it was obvious to mention the topics. I could see the gentleman calming himself down behind the bar which was inappropriate. We would have returned to the place if the service was friendly unfortunately it wasn’t and the cafe lost out because of the poor service. Would not recommend purely because of the poor service....

It was the perfect brunch! 🙏☕ We took 2 fresh orange juices, 1 hot chocolate, 1 butter croissant, 1 superbowl and 1 plate with scrambled eggs, mushrooms, avocado, potatoes and salad 🥑🥐 Everything was yummy, I mean with a very good taste! It's not just ingredients on a plate: it is really well seasoned and cooked. Moreover, the atmosphere is nice, and the staff as well. If I can only add a suggestion: it would be great to have a power plug to charge smartphone and computers. Congratulations to the Cactus Café one of the places I would...

Best thing about it is that it’s a relaxing, charming and quiet cafe (with upbeat background music). Staff wasn’t overly friendly, but fine enough. Omelette with chorizo and cheese was tasty. Toast was delivered with no spread or butter (really, people eat plain toast?). I had to ask for butter. Such a simple thing to not include automatically. Coffee was decent, but not very strong...
